Simple & Clean Closet

Hello TBA admirer!

We are so excited to show you our most recent closet project. This space was a dream to work in. So big, white and clean. Everything we love about a closet.

This couple shares the closet so we had to work with the space to make it feel like both of theirs. Honestly - it wasnt even that bad to start with! They just wanted to create a system that is going to stand the test of time. To build systems that they can grow into and make a space that they love.

Our main goal with this space is to create zones. Most people would think that you need to put everything together to make sense but sometimes you have to work with the space you have and make it make sense.

This space is absolutely stunning and it already had great bones. Keep reading to see all the products we used in this closet makeover!

Our favourite thing about closet transformation is the simplicity. Making everything so simple for the client and the easiest way to do that is to organize by item. Type of item (t-shirt,dress shirt, sweaters, jackets etc…) and then diving deeper into sleeve lengths and colour. This makes it so easy to find and put away your items.

The smallest but biggest thing to make your closet look uniform is to make all the hangers the same. Such a simple, inexpensive change. We love black velvet hangers, they are easy to find anywhere. We love these ones from Amazon these Bed Bath & Beyond ones and we always check Homesense because they always have such great deals. We love to hang skirts and dress pants as well because then you never have to iron… and we love that! We love to use these Metal Pant Hangers. It keeps the look of everything simple and clean.

Keeping baskets all the same also makes your closet look polished and clean. We love a good wicker because it adds a great texture but is also so durable in any space. Our favourites are these Hyacinth Baskets from Amazon and these gorgeous square Square Hyacinth Baskets from Canadian Tire.

Keeping everything labelled with general labels is simplest way to stay organized. Making it virtually impossible for anyone to put something in the wrong bin and say “ I didn’t know where it went”. Keeping everything as general as possible definitely helps when you have a growing closet. Over labelling makes it hard to add and remove things from your closet. You want the labels to be able to work with you not against you.

These are our absolute favourite Clear Bin Clips from The Home Edit. We then label them with our Custom Clear Closet Labels.
We are so happy with how this closet turned out. So chic, simple and clean.

Leave us a comment with your favourite thing about this closet. We love hearing from you guys.
